Senior Vice President
John has been with Berkshire Insurance Group (BIG) since September 2019. John is a dynamic, passionate, producing leader that looks to engage/unite employees and customers within their four insurance divisions of Commercial, Personal, Employee Benefits and Individual products. John has been an Independent Contractor since 2017 with OneDigital, who purchased and partners with BIG’s Employee Benefits division since 10.01.2020.
John’s over 30 years of insurance experience includes growing insurance practices via team building, sales, mentoring and high-level consulting. His financial sharpness and business creativity, while giving to his internal and external network honestly and authentically has kept him motivated for over three decades. John was a partner at Longfellow Benefits in Boston, where he worked for 18 years and helped grow and lead their employee benefit practice; Longfellow sold to Gallagher in December 2013.
John graduated from Norwich University – The Military College of Vermont in 1986 and received his Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 1989 from Northeastern University, where he taught Accounting and various business classes for over 27 years.
Paul Lesukoski, CPCU
Vice President/Business Development
After graduating from UMASS Amherst in 1978 Paul began his insurance career with USF&G Insurance Company in Springfield as an underwriter in the Commercial Lines Department. In 1982, Paul joined Keyes & Mattson Insurance Agency and after several years became a partner and officer in the agency. In 1987, he obtained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. In 2001, Keyes and Mattson was sold to Woronoco Bank and Paul was elected president of the new entity (Woronoco Insurance Group). In 2005, Woronoco Bank/Insurance Group was acquired by Berkshire Bank. Paul is located in the Longmeadow office. He is a member of the East Longmeadow Rotary Club and has been active in their Summer Concert Series. He has also served on various boards and committees in East Longmeadow and for other organizations.
Vice President/CL Producer
After graduating from Umass Amherst in 2005, Darin began his career in the insurance industry working for Safety Insurance Company in the claims department. Darin them moved into a commercial and personal lines account manager role with Wheeler & Taylor, Inc. Darin joined Berkshire Insurance Group in 2009 as an account executive and has enjoyed working in various departments within the bank including the MyBanker and Business Banking divisions. He now handles commercial insurance accounts for both profit and nonprofit clients. Darin excels in a trusted advisor role helping his clients identify risk and create a tailored insurance program. Darin resides in Southwick MA with his wife and 3 children and on most days you can find him at local hockey rink cheering on or coaching his kids as he is an active member in the Westfield Youth Hockey program.
Assistant Vice President
Norma has over twenty year of experience working in the insurance industry, both for a large regional insurance company and here at Berkshire Insurance Group. She joined Berkshire Insurance Group in 2005 bring a strong knowledge of commercial lines rating and underwriting. She assumed the role of commercial lines account manager and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Commercial Operations in 2019, her duties include managing the commercial lines account managers and assisting in managing the commercial operations for the agency.
Norma earned her B.S. from Columbus State University in 1996. She is a licensed MA insurance broker and completed her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2014.
Manager Quote Team & New Business Specialist PL & Sm CL
Tiffany has over a decade of experience working in the insurance industry. She started her career with Berkshire Insurance Group in 2007 in a support role and in 2010 was an intricate part of building BIG’s Quote Department. In 2017 Tiffany was promoted to head of the department and today oversees both the Quoting and New Business teams. Her responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations of each department, monitoring internal customer service and providing support for the agencies business objectives.
Tiffany has many different outside interest including spending time with family and friends, cooking and entertaining but most importantly being a good role model for her son.
Caren Kinne, CISR, CPPL
Service Center Supervisor
Caren began working in the insurance industry in 2001 at the former Minkler Insurance agency, now one of our Berkshire Insurance Group branches. During her tenure, Caren has held many roles within the agency including Receptionist, Processor, & Personal Lines Account Manager. Caren was has been a part of the Service Center department here at BIG since it was developed in 2010. Caren holds two insurance designations: Certified Customer Service Representative & Certified Professional in Personal Lines. Outside of work, Caren enjoys painting & drawing, spending time with family & friends, and volunteering with the local Cub Scout organization
For the last 29 years, Bob has had the privilege of serving both commercial and personal lines clients. His main area of concentration is Commercial Insurance with a focus on the closely held family business. He truly enjoys meeting and developing a strong friendship with his clients, which translates into long term business relationships centered around excellent service. Understanding how a business works and knowing the product they make goes a long way in understanding their needs relating to insurance. This is what drives him each day, and why he enjoys what does. Helping people in the process of succeeding in their business.
Christopher W. Miskavitch, JD
Vice President of Insurance Operations
Christopher Miskavitch joined Berkshire Insurance Group in October of 2020 as Vice President of Operations. Chris has an extensive background in insurance and has worked in insurance carriers and insurance agencies. Travelers, Harleysville Insurance, Crum & Forester, Willis, Alliant. JED Insurance and Financial Services Agency, and his last position with Deland, Gibson Insurance Associates, as Director of Commercial Lines.
Chris obtained his JD from Massachusetts School of Law, and holds a BA English from Worcester State College, and Associates Economic degree from Mt. Washusett Community College.
Marie Elena Blair
Assistant Operations Manager-Personal Lines
Marie has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Upon graduating from Pittsfield High School in 1981, Marie was employed by Berkshire Mutual Insurance Company in their Claim Department. Her responsibilities included claim check disbursement and handling of minor claim settlements. She joined the agency of McCormick Smith & Curry Insurance in 1988 as an account manager in the Personal Line Department, overseeing more than 800 accounts. McCormick Smith & Curry Insurance Agency was one of five agencies purchased by Berkshire Bank in October of 2006. In 2008 Marie was promoted to Personal Lines account manager supervisor for the East Street location. In March of 2010 the Berkshire Insurance Group Service Center was created at which time Marie assumed the role of Service Center Supervisor, overseeing the day-to-day operations of that department and manager of a dozen service center representatives. In 2014 she was promoted to Assistant Operations Manager for Personal Lines managing seventeen employee’s across all BIG location.
